2022 Lifestyle Change and Calorie Counting Plan Week 8 Check-in

8 weeks (57 days) on track with my calorie counting and lifestyle change plan and I’ve officially earned my 2nd tank top (that I’m wearing) of the year.

I’ve now been on plan for 8 weeks, the first 4 of which involved very strict calorie counting and food tracking with no cheat foods and the 2nd 4 involving the idea that there’s no such thing as cheating and everything is allowed in moderation. I did this because I wanted a sustainable lifestyle with focus on healthy foods 80-90% of the time and not-as-healthy foods for the last 10-20% and that’s working for me at this time.

Another change I made is that Saturdays are my more relaxed food days and the rest of the week is more strict. So far this is working really well because I’ve lost weight every week that I’ve been doing it and I feel really good.

So in the last 4 weeks I lost 4.8 lbs and 5 inches across my body. This puts me at a loss of 12.9 lbs in eight week and a total loss of 57.4 lbs since 2015 and I’m now 15 lbs away from my lowest weight of 157.6 lbs in May of 2018.

I’m still keeping up with my New Year resolutions of sticking with my weight-loss plan, hitting a minimum of 5,000 steps every day and meditating for 10 minutes a day. This week I’m also going to add in the recumbent bike again starting with 5 minutes a day and then going up by 1-2 minutes every few days after a week if my back and hip feel okay.

My lifestyle change plan focuses on 1200-1225 calories a day with 2-3 meals, no snacks and keeping an eye on macros as well as at least 5,000 steps a day and

I’ll be weighing in weekly and taking progress photos and measurements every 30 days with a new tank top.
